People's Bank of Ruzomberok

Ľudová banka Ružomberok was founded at a general meeting on May 12, 1907. Among the founders were: Fedor Houdek, Vavro Srobar and Andrej Hlinka, the last of whom was chairman of the board of directors for a long time. The bank's heyday came during the existence of an independent Slovakia in the period 1939-1945. It subsequently merged with Slovenska banka in 1948. The important pieces among some 30 meters of preserved documents include statutes, minutes from general assemblies and board meetings.
