Macroprudential Analysis of the Banking Sector
The objective of the macroprudential analysis of the banking sector is to provide a comprehensive overview on the development in the banking sector from the perspective of the changes in risks and trends. The analysis assesses the risks in banks from the view of the developments in the external environment and in the real economy, respectively. In addition, trends within the banking sector itself are considered as well. Due to the narrow relationship between developments in banks and trends in the real economy, the objective of this analysis is an early identification of any possible imbalances in the banking sector.
