Statement from the 7th Meeting of the Bank Board of the NBS

The 7th Meeting of the Bank Board of Narodna banka Slovenska was held on 3 March 2009, chaired by Ivan Sramko, Governor.

The Bank Board of the NBS discussed and approved the Draft Decree of the NBS on the Report regarding the Results of the Internal Audit Department Activity and about the Plan Regarding the Activities of the Internal Audit Department of an Insurance Company, a Branch of a Foreign Insurance Company, a Reinsurance Company and a Branch of a Foreign Reinsurance Company.

The purpose of the Draft Decree is to ensure that  insurance companies, branches of a  foreign insurance company, a reinsurance company and branches of a foreign reinsurance company submit  reports to Narodna banka Slovenska regarding the results of  Internal Audit Department activity and plans regarding the activities of the Internal Audit Department for the next year; these to have a unified structure, scope, content and stated method.

The Decree shall become effective on 15 March 2009.
