Statement from the 5th Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska

The 5th Meeting of the Bank Board of Národná banka Slovenska was held today (15 February 2011) and was chaired by Jozef Makúch, the NBS Governor.

The Bank Board of NBS approved the announcement on the issue of a 10-euro silver collector coin commemorating the 150th anniversary of the adoption of the Memorandum of the Slovak Nation.

The euro collector coin, weighing 18 grams and measuring 34 millimetres in diameter, will be produced by the Kremnica Mint from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The coin has three designers, with the obverse side designed by Mgr. art. Andrea Rolková and Pavel Károly and the reverse side by Mária Poldaufová. It is due to go on sale in May 2011.
