TARGET2-SK

Since 1 January 2009 the TARGET2-SK become the only RTGS payment system in Slovak Republic. Bank board of Národna banka Slovenska decided to join TARGET2 in parallel with adoption of euro currency in Slovakia. Name of the Slovak component of TARGET2 is TARGET2-SK. The former RTGS payment system SIPS was transformed to the retail payment system EURO SIPS for processing of retail payment with final settlement in TARGET2-SK.
