Insurance industry is a sector of financial services which comprises entities assuming the insurance risk, i.e. entities engaged in the insurance and reinsurance business as well as entities providing insurance and reinsurance broking services. The main players of the Slovak insurance sector are insurance companies licensed in the Slovak Republic, insurance companies from other member state of the European Economic Area, and insurance and reinsurance brokers.
