Analysis, Reports and Publications in the field of Financial Market
Supervision division of Národná banka Slovenska provides access to several types of reports, analysis and data. The aim of these publications is to inform the professional public about the actual trends in the financial sector and to provide data for assessment of risks stemming from these trends. There are several types of this information:
- Report about the activity of the supervision division informs about the normative, licensing, supervision, analytical and international activities of the supervision division of the NBS.
- Analytical data of the Slovak financial sector provides time series on quarterly basis for individual segments of the financial markets - banks, insurance companies, II. and III. pillar of the pension saving, collective investment, stock exchange and central securities depository. Available data refer to the number of institutions, structure of assets, liabilities, assets under management and profitability and other ratios that can be used as financial stability indicators. Together with the values of these indicators, their distribution across individual sectors of the financial markets are also provided.
- The lending survey provides information about the supply and demand on the market with loans to households and corporates.
- Review of mortgage banking and housing loans allow for analyses of time series reffering to these loans together with the market shares of individuals banks on this market.
- Reports on state of the insurance companies were published by the Financial market authority in 2000 to 2005.
Together with these analyses the NBS publishes also the Financial stability report and the Analysis of the Slovak financial sector.
The reports are produced to evaluate current trends and risks within the financial sector. The objective of the results of the analysis is the assessment whether the financial sector as a whole is considered to be stabilized.
