Euro banknotes
Euro banknotes are issued in seven different denominations (€5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200, and €500) and have the same design for all countries. They feature architectural styles from different periods in European history. All denominations have the state of art security features, which protect banknotes against counterfeiting. The security features (Link ECB) can be checked simply by hand or with the naked eye using of feel, look and tilt principle. You can exchange mutilated or damaged banknotes (Link ECB) which fulfills certain specified criteria in the National Bank of Slovakia in banks (provided they are entire or lacking only a negligible part, whereas the negligible part shall mean a missing part that reduces length or width of a euro banknote by not more than 10 mm), or in one of the Eurozone National Central Banks.
